Crystal Castles - Vanished
I don’t want to run this song into the ground but I’m probably about to. It’s been my favorite song of the week. And it’s not even off the new album. I like the new album but I’m not as enthusiastic about it as I am about this one.
As a sidenote, I saw them at CMJ in 2008 at Webster Hall and I have to say, I don’t normally get too excited about live performance - and I know I’m probably in the minority there. But lots of blogs/sites wrote about this night. The lead singer, Alice Glass, was running back and forth on the stage, jumping on the speakers and pouring champagne into the cups of people at the front. I think she’s about 22 but her heavy eyemakeup intimidates me. I hope she’s a good interview.
