Michael McDonald and now this

80’s dudes inspiring today’s synth-pop-techno-indie-whatever. I know I wasn’t first to the party on this one, but now I find out that Daryl Hall of the infinitely listenable Hall & Oates, has collaborated Chromeo and hosts musical guests at his house all the time! He seems like a cool guy, I have to say. Check out this clip of him singing “No Can Do” with Chromeo. They also cover Chromeo’s cover of “Tenderoni” which was originally Bobby Brown’s tune. And FYI - tenderoni is a slang term for some hot young object of lust that is underage.

Trend story on the way if I can find another 80’s act that is pairing up with a seemingly incongruous current act. I’m open to suggestions, of course.
