The CMJ Marathon every year reminds me that I need to get out and see bands more often. Happily after only having gone to one showcase, I discovered a slew of new bands I’m into - Tamaryn, Apache Beat and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.- the song and pic of whom is attached here. They also do a great cover of “God Only Knows.”
I interviewed the guys after their set. In particular I was curious about the outfits. Of course, not being a NASCAR follower, I didn’t realize that Dale Earnhardt with only one Jr. after his name is a famous driver. As for their suits, they got them on the NASCAR site, one of the band members saying, “It was affordable, it was beautiful and I love Cheerios.”
