BBC 6
I was very very lucky to be able to travel to London recently, and my good friends there are in the habit of putting on BBC 6 first thing when they get up in the morning. So, I was treated to Shaun Keaveny’s morning show every day (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vdbdq), which, sadly I’ll never be up early enough to hear live back in NYC. Even Sirius radio couldn’t match the quality of the shows over there (save maybe Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour. I’m very jealous. Not that i don’t like WNYC, of course. But you know, everything else on the FM dial is reggaeton, top 40 or Republican talk radio.
So while I was listening they played this great song by Warpaint, an LA band that I’d never, ever come across on American radio.
